About Brandi

My name is Brandi. I am a certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist and have an Associate Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. One of my favorite activities is family game night. I consider myself a lifelong learner who is always eager to expand my knowledge and learn new things.

My Recovery Story

Before my recovery, I faced challenges that made it difficult to feel hopeful about the future. I wasn’t in a stable environment and often felt alone. I eventually realized I needed to make a change. Connecting with supportive people, staying committed to recovery, and learning coping skills through therapy made a lasting impact. Today, I continue focusing on personal growth. My experiences inspired me to become a peer supporter. There’s something beautiful about turning my painful lived experiences into something that can help others.

My Motivation To Help

My motivation to be a peer supporter comes from my own experiences and the support I received along the way. I want to use what I have learned to encourage others, remind them that they are not alone, and help them see that recovery and growth are possible. I truly value connection and the ability to make a positive difference in someone's life. Everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and hopeful.
