About this meeting
Weekly Dungeons & Dragons campaign built around adventure, connection, creativity, and mental-health themes. I’ll serve as the Dungeon Master and guide the group through an ongoing story where players can explore things like fear, trust, boundaries, identity, grief, coping, relationships, confidence, teamwork, and recovery through their characters and the choices they make. This is still D&D first. Expect quests, roleplay, combat, strange NPCs, questionable decisions, dice betrayal, and the occasional plan that absolutely should not work but somehow does. The mental-health piece will be woven naturally into the story rather than turning the game into therapy. Characters may face situations involving things like asking for help, working through conflict, rebuilding trust, managing fear, making difficult choices, or learning that strength does not always mean handling everything alone. You do not need to be experienced with D&D to join. New players are welcome, and I can help with character creation and learning the basics. You also do not need to share personal mental-health experiences. You can explore themes entirely through your character if that feels more comfortable. Because this is an ongoing campaign, regular attendance is encouraged so the party can build relationships and keep the story moving. Life and mental health happen, though, so missing a session does not mean you are kicked out of the adventure. This is a peer-support and social connection group, not therapy or clinical treatment.

About the host
My name is Cassian, and I am a Certified Peer Specialist with lived experience navigating complex mental health challenges and building a life that feels stable, meaningful, and worth living. A major focus of my peer-support work is helping people who live with Cluster B disorders or traits, especially BPD attachment patterns, favorite-person dynamics, fear of abandonment, splitting, emotional intensity, and relationship instability. I understand how these experiences can affect your sense of safety, identity, and connection with others. I believe in accountability without shame and in helping people recognize harmful patterns without reducing themselves to those patterns. I am also especially interested in supporting people with OCD, including harm OCD and pedophilia-themed OCD. I understand how frightening, isolating, and shame-filled taboo intrusive thoughts can be, particularly when people confuse unwanted thoughts with intent or character. My goal is to offer a nonjudgmental space where people can talk honestly about their experiences without being treated as dangerous or immoral. I also have lived experience with chronic illness, disability, LGBTQIA+ identity, and polyamorous or ethically non-monogamous relationships. I identify as a queer, pansexual trans man. Psychology is one of my special interests, so I bring both personal experience and extensive self-education to my work while remaining clear that peer support is not therapy or diagnosis. I am passionate, direct, and compassionate. I want people to feel understood without being enabled, supported without being controlled, and reminded that healing does not require becoming perfect.
Motivation for help
I spent years feeling alone, misunderstood, and unheard. The people around me often could not relate, while professionals sometimes treated me like they knew my mind better than I did. That made an already difficult life even harder. Now that I have built a life that feels stable, meaningful, and worth living, I want to be the kind of support I needed then: someone who listens, respects your lived experience, and helps you move toward the life that matters to you.
