Sign up and join chatroomGetting Your Money Right: Financial Recovery & Starting Over
Financial setbacks following divorce, illness, or a mental-health crisis can leave us feeling frightened, overwhelmed, and ashamed, but we don’t have to rebuild alone. Trust me, I’ve been there. I’ve lived with Bipolar I since I was 16, gone through two divorces, and built a career as a licensed CPA (certified public accountant). Quite a combination, right? Along the way, I’ve learned a great deal about money management, financial recovery, and the courage it takes to start over. This is a compassionate, judgment-free peer-support space for people working to regain their financial footing after a major life disruption. We’ll talk openly about budgeting with reduced income, managing debt, rebuilding credit, returning to work, coping with financial anxiety, and taking small, realistic steps forward. This room offers peer support, shared experiences, encouragement, and general financial education. It is not a substitute for individualized financial, tax, legal, medical, or investment advice.
