Hi All! My name is Julie and I am a peer that was certified through the Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance back in 2020! Truly, I have never had a more fulfilling experience in my years here on this crazy earth. My other certifications surrounding Peer Support include: WRAP, Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Mental Health Crisis Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Intervention, and am a Roundtable Facilitator. I am currently living, working, and recovering with lived experience and have been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, Chronic Illness, and Bipolar II as mentioned above! All of which have been a part of me and my life for long as I can remember. I am here to support you in any way you see fit. Whether it's just to chat and feel heard or share some laughs because life just doesn't seem to let up sometimes. At the end of the day, I am always here to listen and learn as well as provide my experiences to others. So let's connect... I can't wait to meet you!
My Recovery StoryMy journey to wellness is just that- a journey! I am an huge advocate for group therapy and utilizing support groups. Both of those aspects are supported by a great relationship with my Psychiatrist to keep medications in check. Its so important that I feel heard in every aspect of my wellness journey, and Peer Support had allowed me to explore that in so many ways!
My Motivation To HelpAfter a life changing experience with a Peer Support Specialist, I found my calling in paying it forward! Wellness is possible, even when it seems impossible at times. Allow me to walk with you and support you, just as that peer did for me years ago.
