Certified Peer Supporter
Melinda Williams is a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist, Advocate, and Expressive Arts Facilitator. She has experience in supporting a diverse community of individuals in achieving and maintaining health, wellness, and emotional well-being. Melinda has dedicated her career to the well-being of people living with mental health diagnosis, and their access to support services. She is an empathetic and compassionate professional who brings a hopeful perspective to supporting people in directing their own lives and their personal recovery process. Melinda received her training in Recovery and Resiliency Support from Magellan Complete Care, and Recovery Peer Support from Federation of Families of Central Florida. Melinda also received Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), and mental health recovery training from the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. While Melinda completed her training in mental health support, she consecutively completed an apprenticeship with Magellan Health as a Recovery Support Navigator. She moved on to achieve a certification in Recovery Peer Support from The Florida Certification Board.
