About the host
Greetings, I'm Jenn J. (she/they), a Peer Recovery Support Specialist and fellow traveler on the path to healing. My lived experiences fuel my passion for guiding others through their unique journeys. Together, let's navigate the road to well-being.
As a disabled, neurodivergent member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, I've navigated chronic illness, pain, mental health challenges, trauma, domestic violence, substance use, eating disorders, and self-injury. Through connecting with others who face similar struggles, I've discovered the power of community in finding strength, validation, and understanding.
I understand the struggles, setbacks, and the realities of the journey. I'm here to share the genuine ups and downs, acknowledging that healing is a process with its own pace. Let's embark on this journey together—where every step forward is a step toward empowerment. Your story matters, and I'm here to support.
Motivation for help
My motivation to help comes from my own journey through disabilities, chronic pain, mental health struggles, substance use, eating disorders, and trauma. These experiences have shaped my understanding and passion for supporting others. I believe, as the quote goes, “If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time; but if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.” I’m here because I know our paths to healing are intertwined. Let’s join forces, drawing on mutual support and shared experiences to empower and transform our lives together.
