Thank you so much for creating the safe space. I felt supported and that made it so much easier to share everything that I’ve been struggling with. I will continue to come back.

TMAC (leader) and the group are very kind people and it was a welcoming environment. At times it was overwhelming, a few participants took over the meeting. It needed a abit more structure. Overall, it was a good group.

Like all things, changes come. Each co-facilitator has a different style of leading the meeting. Personally, I do better with more structure. At the end of the day, I know that one way isn't "better", just "different". Support is still being given and received.

NAMI Minnesota

NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support and advocacy we strive to eliminate the pervasive stigma of mental illnesses, affect positive changes in the mental health system, and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.

NAMI Minnesota offers many support groups for adults living with mental illnesses and their families. Our free support groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience. Support groups provide a welcoming, respectful, and safe space to build awareness and understanding while learning from and connecting with others.  The two main populations we serve are adults living with mental illnesses and adults with loved ones who are living with mental illnesses.
